Jesse Lingard has returned to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and the ex-Manchester United star has spoken out about his time at FC Seoul.
The 31-year-old player was released from Nottingham Forest in 2023 and Jesse Lingard’s future was cast in uncertainty during his hunt for a new club.
Lingard made his long-awaited return to football in 2024 after he completed a free transfer move to K League 1 club FC Seoul back in February.
The former Manchester United and England star has since been able to focus on his football and Lingard has secured regular playing time at FC Seoul.
Lingard has made 18 appearances for the K League 1 outfit and the FC Seoul star has scored four times for his current side across all competitions.

Former Man Utd star Lingard returns to X
Jesse Lingard’s last post on X in 2023 was promoting a tweet from the ‘JLINGZ Esports’ account before the FC Seoul star went off the radar on the platform.
However, the former Manchester United youth academy product returned to X on Tuesday and shared two posts for the first time in 2024.
Lingard first posted a photo of him celebrating alongside the caption, “This feeling,” including a dancing emoji and a laughing face in his tweet.
The former Three Lions international was in action for FC Seoul on Saturday and Lingard netted in the second half of the 3-2 defeat to Daejeon Hana Citizen.
Following on from his initial post, Lingard confirmed his return to the Elon Musk-owned platform and made his feelings clear about his time in South Korea.
“Back on X, Korea is amazing [and] enjoying my football and in a happy place,” he wrote.
Why did Lingard sign for FC Seoul?
Lingard had been tipped for a potential return to former side West Ham United after his contract with Nottingham Forest expired in 2023.
The former England international had been training with West Ham, but a return to the Hammers failed to materialise, despite his free-agent status at the time.
Lingard insisted that his move to the K League 1 was driven by his desire to experience a “different challenge” and “create new memories” going forward.
“I’ve always wanted a different challenge and to create new memories in my career,” he said back in February.
“I believe South Korea is the perfect place for that.”
