Manchester United defender Di’Shon Bernard announced his exit from the club this week.
The 22-year-old had been out on loan at Portsmouth, the third loan spell of his career.
Bernard wrote on Instagram: “I’m now excited to see where this next chapter in my life takes me.”
Manchester United confirmed Bernard’s exit too, wishing him well for the future via the club website.

A number of teammates reached out to offer their best wishes to Di’Shon Bernard after his exit was confirmed.
A surprise name was Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Jeremie Frimpong, with the pair following each other on social media.
Anthony Elanga and Charlie Savage were among those to also reach out to Bernard.
Bernard played once for Manchester United’s first team, in the Europa League in 2019. Since then he has been out on loan, and been restricted to the odd friendly appearance.
There had been plenty of speculation too, about Jeremie Frimpong going the other way, and signing for Manchester United.
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg claimed in April that talks were held with Frimpong’s agents.
However, the resurgence in form from Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot signing a new contract has made it less likely Manchester United sign a right-back.
