Manchester United might not be playing football for about two weeks, but there’s no such thing as rest for the players.
The international break is a chance for them to mingle with players who would usually be their club rivals and in some cases, grease the wheels of a future move.
As such, Jamal Musiala’s message to sum up the Manchester United ace after his history-making display for his national side will undoubtedly get some attention.
After all, the man he sent this message to isn’t even a national teammate, so there’s clearly a lot of respect and admiration there.

Jamal Musiala’s four-word message to Joshua Zirkzee
Joshua Zirkzee is enjoying himself on the international break. He became just the fourth Dutchman to score and assist on their first start for the national team.
The 5-2 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina had a lot to do with his all-around game which had the Dutch press raving.
Matthijs de Ligt didn’t have a similarly good time but overall, it was a good night for the United stars in a confidence-inducing game.
More importantly, they got vital minutes in their legs to hit the ground running at Old Trafford once they return.
After his star-making performance in the win. Joshua Zirkzee went to Instagram and posted two pictures of himself celebrating his fine goal.
Kobbie Mainoo was among the first to respond, typing a lion’s roar, going, “Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr”, in a fun bit of banter between teammates.
Jamal Musiala’s comment got the most attention, even getting a reply from Zirkzee himself after he described the Dutchman as a “2 way shot creator”. Musiala and Zirkzee spent some together at Bayern Munich.
It could mean Musiala propping up Zirkzee’s qualities as an all-around forward or it could also be a fun joke since Zirkzee’s goal came as a result of him not even looking at the goal.
He instinctively headed it backward while his back was showing to the goal and it ended up in the back of the net!
Zirkzee needs to brings this form back
After a dream start at United by scoring a winner at the Stretford End, Zirkzee has blown a bit hot and cold as the pace of the Premier League has set in.
The display against Liverpool was his worst one yet as he was reduced to being a passenger in a dysfunctional side getting dominated at home.
There have been glimpses of the player who won Serie A’s Best Young Player award last season as he has dropped deep to stitch together attacks and hold the ball up.
However, he is at his best when he is providing for his teammates instead of shouldering the goalscoring burden himself.
That is not his game which is why the expectations of Zirkzee are not matching up to reality now.
It should improve once the United squad becomes more clinical, and Rasmus Hojlund’s prospective return to the team should be a game-changer as well.
Till then, his Netherlands form continuing at Man United will do nicely!
