Fabrizio Romano has given an update on Jadon Sancho, amid the winger still being suspended from the first-team squad.
On the 14th of September 2023 – Manchester United issued a statement surrounding Jadon Sancho which said the following:
“Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue.”
This came after Sancho was dropped against Arsenal, with the reason being that his performance was poor in training. So what’s the latest? Fabrizio Romano has revealed a little more today.

Jadon Sancho latest
Speaking on the United Stand YouTube channel – Fabrizio Romano has revealed the ‘only way back’ for the winger at United.
“The situation between Jadon Sancho and the staff is still tense. Not just Erik ten Hag, because other people are unhappy with his attitude.
“The only way back, in Erik ten Hag‘s eyes, for Jadon Sancho is to apologise to him, the rest of the coaches and the players,” Romano claims.
There is clearly a problem between the two, to which both aren’t backing down. Any disagreement between player and manager is a problem – but one this severe is something else.
It’s not looking good…
More Sancho news has been circulating today – with none of it positive whatsoever.
FIFA at 3AM?
Sancho’s gamertag was clocked on a live stream, which was taking place at nearly 3 AM this morning.
He’s obviously suspended and can do what he wants – but it’s not too great of a look. A lot of athletes, if suspended, would be getting back on track – not staying up til ungodly hours playing video games.
The most likely outcome is January departure…
According to the Muppetiers, who have an inside MUFC source – apparently a January sale is the most likely. They Tweeted:
‘Not expecting the situation with Sancho to improve anytime soon. Believe the most likely outcome is a departure in January as has already been being explored and evaluated.’
Where did it all go wrong? The Sancho situation seems to have spiralled drastically – and fast. It’s going to be seriously tough to mend from here.
We won’t have a definite answer until the club comes out with something – so unfortunately for the time being, we’ll just have to wait patiently.
