Jadon Sancho stat shows miserable creative output this season, Manchester United are not missing him

Jadon Sancho was sent on loan at the beginning of the season, with Chelsea obligated to buy him should they finish higher than 15th in the Premier League.

After being frozen out of Manchester United’s first team by former manager Erik ten Hag, Jadon Sancho was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund last January.

Sancho endured a bright spell back at his former club, where he reached the Champions League final, only to lose against Real Madrid.

There were still no buyers for Sancho in the summer and United had to settle for a loan agreement with Chelsea, which will eventually see him move to Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal.

Chelsea are obligated to buy Sancho for £25 million and they felt – at the time – that it represented great value. The mood has since changed for Sancho in London.

Jadon Sancho lacking creative output at Chelsea

Chelsea fans are beginning to look at Sancho similarly to how United fans saw him, wondering what on earth has happened to a once-renowned hot prospect in the Bundesliga.

New stats show that Sancho had made 0 successful crosses in 1,260 minutes in the Premier League this season, as per Statman Dave.

That’s a shocking stat for a Premier League winger and one he will be ashamed of.

Ineos will be happy to take £25 million for Sancho come the end of the season. That money will help Sir Jim Ratcliffe back Ruben Amorim in the transfer market to sign attacking players who will make a difference in the first team.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee has underperformed this season and the team isn’t scoring enough goals to win matches. It’s a problem that needs to be addressed in the summer because it was ignored in January.

Sancho stats this season

In 22 appearances this term, Sancho has only managed to scored two goals in for Chelsea.

The 24-year-old has underperformed and will be members of the Chelsea hierarchy, scratching their heads.

Sancho’s passive approach in wide situations mean he doesn’t test defenders or the goalkeeper frequently enough.

That’s a major issue when he is an attacking.
