Alan Shearer was left underwhelmed by one Manchester United player yet again against Nottingham Forest.
Manchester United just about managed to advance past Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Wednesday night with a 1-0 win.
Another dire performance from Erik ten Hag’s side was salvaged in the 89th minute by Casemiro, who flicked home Bruno Fernandes’ free-kick.
United’s reward for the win is a quarter-final with fierce rivals Liverpool in just over a fortnight and they will need to improve to have any hope of a victory.
There were several poor performances on the night. Alan Shearer voiced his frustrations with Marcus Rashford during the game but was particularly scathing of winger Antony after yet another underwhelming display.

Alan Shearer blasts Antony
Shearer said on commentary for the BBC: “He might be disappointed coming off but he hasn’t done anywhere near enough to stay on.
“Same old, get the ball, cut inside, pass it to someone else or have a shot.
“It’s not enough when you cost that much.”
Another Antony disappointment
Antony was given an opportunity but was unable to take it.
The Brazilian was making just his second start of 2024, with his only other coming in the last round against Newport County.
Antony scored and picked up an assist in that game but struggled to have any impact up against Premier League opposition rather than a League Two side.
It was a display without any substance and made it hard to see where any opportunities will come in future.
The only area he impressed was with his energetic and committed backtracking to help his defence.
Fans have praised Antony’s defensive work in the past and there have been calls for him to play at left-back given the injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
Perhaps a chance in the troubled position could actually work for Antony.
