Belgium star Senne Lammens has now broken his silence on Premier League side Aston Villa being linked with him ahead of his move to Manchester United.
Manchester United signed Senne Lammens on deadline day last summer after the Red Devils agreed to an initial fee of £18.1m to land him from Royal Antwerp.
The Red Devils had also been linked with Emiliano Martinez during the 2025 summer window and the 2022 World Cup winner was keen for an Old Trafford move.
However, Villa reportedly slapped a £40m price tag on Emiliano Martinez and the Red Devils ultimately opted against a move for the 33-year-old Argentine player.

It has been reported that Ruben Amorim had wanted Emiliano Martinez at Old Trafford, only for the Ineos regime to explore other options in the market.
Martinez had been linked with clubs in Saudi Arabia and Turkey, but the Aston Villa and Argentina star reportedly wanted to remain in England ahead of the World Cup.
Senne Lammens was on Aston Villa’s radar and was considered a key option for the Premier League club in the event that Martinez left Villa Park last summer.
Speaking to The Athletic, the 23-year-old Belgium international said that his heart was set on signing for Man Utd in 2025 if he decided to leave Royal Antwerp.
“From the outside, it was a lot of talk,” he explained.
“But for me, it was always United, to be honest. It was quite clear for me. I just believed in myself.
“And I knew the chance was going to come and it was up to me to take it. I think I’ve been able to do that now.”

Lammens had spent his entire playing career in his native homeland of Belgium before he made the high-profile switch to Old Trafford to play in England.
The Manchester United No 1 has been praised for his immediate impact at the Premier League club and was confident that he made the right decision over his future.
“Making the move to United was a big one, but in my head, I was always confident and sure, long-term, that I was going to make the right call,” Lammens added.
“It has gone really good, really fast. I can’t really say anything bad about the transition.”
Lammens has made 26 appearances across all competitions for Man Utd in his debut season and the 2025 Red Devils summer signing has five clean sheets to his name.
