Casemiro faces an uncertain future at Manchester United.
Manchester United fans will agree that the team needs an overhaul if Ruben Amorim is to implement his preferred style of play at Old Trafford.
The new United head coach has had a rocky start in the Premier League, with United currently placed in the bottom half of the table. There have been occasional signs of progress but the Reds are still struggling to win football matches.
Last time out, United suffered a 3-1 defeat against Brighton on a morale-sapping Sunday evening. They will try to put that behind them when they take on Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday night.
However, it remains to be seen if Amorim will recall some of his fringe players to the line-up. They include the experienced duo Christian Eriksen and Casemiro.
Most of United’s fringe players have been linked with moves away as Sir Jim Ratcliffe attempts to raise funds at the club.

Joe Cole offers transfer advice to Casemiro
Casemiro is not getting a lot of game time under Amorim and it doesn’t look like that is going to change unless Manuel Ugarte suffers an injury.
Former England international Joe Cole says it ‘makes sense’ for Casemiro to leave United this month, given he does not appear to be part of Amorim’s plans.
Casemiro has made just four starts in all competitions since Amorim was appointed head coach in November.
The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, but a deal has yet to materialise.
Cole believes the five-time Champions League winner should consider a switch to the Middle East.
Speaking on Al Arabiya News’ The Dressing Room podcast, Cole said: “It makes sense.
“They’re bringing big, big players over there and Casemiro is a big, big player.
“It doesn’t look like he’s a part of Amorim’s plans.”
The proof is in the pudding when Amorim names his team without Casemiro most weeks.
Casemiro is one of the club’s highest earners so it makes sense – from United’s perspective at least – to move on.
Casemiro exit could open door for Sekou Kone
If United decide to sell Casemiro this month, Amorim will be left with one defensive midfielder following Ugarte’s summer switch from Paris Saint-Germain.
The head coach may be forced to look at United’s academy if cover is required for the Uruguay international.
Sekou Kone, who joined United in the summer, recently returned to youth football action from injury.
The Malian youngster will be trying to impress Amorim over the coming months to get a chance to make his debut for United’s first team.
Casemiro’s potential department could speed up that process for Kone.
