The number of players being linked to Manchester United is already too high to keep count of. But perhaps the most obvious signing is one who has been linked with the club for years.
Youri Tielemans has been on loan at Leicester City, scoring three times and providing four assists in 13 games.
It feels like a successful Premier League audition for the 22-year-old, who Monaco appear set to sell this summer.
The Evening Standard report Tielemans is being considered by United, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to solve the club’s midfield dilemma. The Sun also claim City are interested, with Monaco looking to sell for £40 million.

Obvious signing

At just 22-years-old, Tielemans is an outstanding prospect who has shown he can be a Premier League success.
He impressed for Anderlecht against United in the Europa League in 2017, a season in which he scored 18 goals from midfield.
The Telegraph reported back in 2015 that United scouted Tielemans when he was just 16, and already starring in Belgium.

This summer feels like United’s last chance to land him, before he heads to a Premier League rival to play the peak years of his career.
The £40 million price being asked looks like good value, especially considering Fred cost more last summer.
Sometimes Ed Woodward can overthink things. Making a move for Tielemans should be an easy call.
