Manchester United are attempting a new transfer strategy under Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, according to reports.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos are already getting their feet firmly under the table at Manchester United and are already making key decisions at the club.
Omar Berrada has already been lured to Old Trafford from Manchester City and it seems a new sporting director will be next on the agenda for the new ownership regime.
If the structure is in place, the attention will then turn to transfer decisions at the club and it seems Ineos already have a plan for this in the summer, too.

Ineos’ plan
According to a report from the iPaper, Ineos are leaning on a more data-led approach to transfers this summer and have already identified two targets for the Red Devils.
Ineos have reportedly been impressed with the team of number crunchers at the club and Ratcliffe is reportedly keen on creating a new way of approaching transfers.
The two players who are believed to be targets are Jarrad Branthwaite and Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise.
Ineos want to bring data into decision-making – just as they have at Nice and in their other sporting endeavours such as their successful America’s Cup team and the two-hour marathon challenge.
Nice have also led on data with their appointment of manager Francesco Farioli, who has done an exceptional job in Ligue 1 this campaign which is a testament that their data approach has worked.
Sir Dave Brailsford reportedly held meetings with members of the club’s data department and was impressed with they work.
“They really spoke Sir Dave’s language,” a source reportedly said. “There is a real natural kinship there and Ineos is very big on data so it’s a very important area for Sir Jim and Sir Dave.”
Data can be important but not key
Having a data-led approach has proven to work, whether it’s at Leicester City or Brighton & Hove Albion but this doesn’t always work.
A blended mix of data and in-person scouting could well work best with Liverpool’s decision to sign Mohamed Salah over Julian Brandt, according to Jamie Carragher, a perfect example of why data doesn’t always work.
Getting this right in the summer will be key for the Red Devils
