Diogo Dalot is one of the few players who have benefitted so far this season for Manchester United. Now he joins finds himself one of the highest rated full-backs in the Premier League.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has missed a substantial period now through injury this season, but that has allowed Diogo Dalot to recapture his best form.

The 24-year-old has thrived for Manchester United despite a turbulent start. On the left and the right, Dalot has been a sensation over the last few weeks, reminding fans of his pre-2022 World Cup displays.

Since playing at left-back, Dalot hasn’t fallen below a match rating of 7/10 according to SofaScore. These displays have raised his reputation once again with the fanbase.

His improved performances have also seen him benefit in terms of his market value. According to CIES, Dalot now has a market value of £51.8 million.

Dalot second highest value in the Premier League

This current value sees Dalot the second most expensive right back in the Premier League. His value is only bettered by Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold (£69m) who has also featured in midfield for England and his club.

Reece James ties Dalot for value, however with the Englishman injury prone, that is bound to drop.

Below this is the likes of Pedro Porro and Ben White who are both valued at £43.1m.

Matty Cash and our number 20’s direct competition Wan-Bissaka are both estimated to have a market value of (£17.2m).

Meanwhile Kyle Walker is valued at just £8.6m, a figure which in our opinion vastly undervalues him.

Dalot therefore is clearly valued among the crème de la crème of his peers, time that his fans began to treat him as such.

Clear decision for Ten Hag

Upon the return of Wan-Bissaka, Erik ten Hag will have a huge decision to make, will he revert back to his pre-season favourite with the Englishman, or stick with the Portuguese.

We think the choice is pretty clear, considering how impressive Dalot has been.

Along with this, his technical ability lends itself far better to the style we are developing and he links the right side of attack together much better too.
