Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has shown his admiration for two England teammates.
Striker Harry Kane was one player who Manchester United were strongly linked with signing last summer, before he ended up signing with Bayern Munich instead.
Kane’s Bayern ended up playing a part in knocking United out of the Champions League – although most of the damage there was self-inflicted by Erik ten Hag‘s side.
Manchester United opted for Rasmus Hojlund instead – going for the long-term option instead of the more immediate fix – although ideally, both would have been signed.

Maguire congratulates Kane on latest win
Harry Kane has recently been joined by his former England and Tottenham Hotspur teammate Eric Dier, who signed for Bayern in a surprise move earlier in January.
Both players started at the weekend as Bayern managed to win 3-2 at Augsburg, with Kane netting the winner.
It was Kane’s 27th goals of the season so far, with 23 in the Bundesliga and four in the Champions League.
After the win, Kane shared a selfie with teammate Dier, marking their first start together in Germany, and the duo received a congratulatory message via Instagram from Manchester United’s Harry Maguire.

Could Bayern pursue Harry Maguire this summer
This is just us speculating, but it is not unreasonable to suggest Bayern Munich explore a move for Harry Maguire this summer, with interest reciprocated.
Bayern have a sudden penchant for signing English players to join Kane, attempting to sign Kieran Trippier earlier this month too.
Central defence is an area where they want to improve, playing Dier there this weekend. Maguire would be an upgrade, while there is speculation they will look to part ways with Matthijs de Ligt this summer, per The Mirror.
Maguire, meanwhile, could be tempted by the chance to join a top side like Bayern, rejecting West Ham last summer.
While he has improved this season, at aged 30, it is likely he is a player United would consider offers for under the Ineos regime.
