However, through it all, Ruben Amorim hasn’t lost sight of the bigger picture, urging everyone to believe in the process, through which results will eventually arrive.
He has done so by making a clear pathway towards eventual contention, even if it means some bumps in the road in the short term.
Now, he’s revealed what he sees as his “ideal” version of Manchester United, desperate to give back to the fans who’ve supported him unconditionally so far.

Amorim has come in and said from day one that success at Old Trafford means winning the Premier League, but that’s undoubtedly a long way away.
In the meantime, he promised an identity to the fans, the saplings of which have continued to sprout with every game, negative and positive.
In an interview with TNT Sports Mexico, he went into detail about how he sees his ideal Manchester United playing on the pitch.
He said: “I imagine our team playing beautiful football for 90 minutes and getting the crowd fully engaged. They are eager for success, but they also believe in it. It’s our responsibility not to shatter that hope.
“You summed it up perfectly—they are both desperate and hopeful. Any quick passing sequence or attacking play creates a sense of excitement that is ready to explode.”
Next season is crucial for Amorim
Even though United have managed some marquee wins this season, it’s clear to everyone watching that Amorim can truly be judged from next season.
He has repeatedly stressed the importance of having training sessions with the team to impart his philosophy, something he hasn’t been able to do due to a packed fixture list.
With a proper pre-season and hopefully some signings that fit his style, Amorim can truly start to put his prints over the team next season.
European qualification next year with a coherent and identifiable style of play will be the expectation next season, which can provide a launchpad for future successes.
