The positive feeling around Manchester United is beginning to return ever since Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s arrival into the fold.
Under the Glazer family, Manchester United staff and players had no connection with the owners but this is something which has already been blown out of the water by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
The Ineos owner and now part United owner has made an impressive impact already on the club considering his arrival hasn’t even been ratified, with former CEO, David Gill, also lauding his immediate impact.
From meeting the staff and players while speaking and dedicating time to them all to attending Munich tributes earlier this week, he’s winning over the fanbase and restoring the club’s values.
Now, a report has described exactly how his arrival left United staff feeling.

In a report from ESPN, it’s been explained exactly how the staff at Old Trafford felt after meeting Sir Jim for the first time.
“Everyone left the room feeling 10-foot tall,” the report stated that a United source had disclosed.
“All we have heard for years has been about cutbacks and engagement targets, so to hear somebody tell us that we are going to be a football club again was long overdue and a refreshing change. It was also nice to be in the same room as the person in charge. That has never happened with the Glazers.”
Ratcliffe’s approach of valuing every member of staff impressed the club staff and left them feeling extremely valued by the club.
“Sir Jim said that we were as important to the club’s success as the players,” the employee explained.
“He said that the club couldn’t move forward and succeed without us all working together, as one, and that we were all part of the same team with the sole objective of making everything better.”
Manchester United could soon return to former glory
One thing which always stands out at successful clubs is how closely knit it is from top to bottom. With Sir Jim and Ineos now in charge of everything football-related, this could be the case at United.
Off the field, there seems to already have been a real boost to everyone at the club, in particular players and coaching staff as performances have improved since the announcement.
On the field as well things are changing for the better under Ineos, with Omar Berrada an excellent addition and a Director of Football and others expected to imminently follow him to the club.
Finally, United look like they’ll be acting like a serious club on and off the field with an owner who cares. The future looks very bright at Old Trafford.
