Morocco stepped up preparations for the World Cup with a convincing 4-0 win over Madagascar.
Noussair Mazraoui will be among the many Manchester United players competing at the 2026 World Cup, despite playing a second-fiddle role to Diogo Dalot at Old Trafford this past season.
The right-back will be one of the star players in Mohamed Ouahbi’s Morocco squad, bringing a wealth of experience to the table.

Noussair Mazraoui impresses for Morocco
It was hardly a surprise to see Mazraoui in the Morocco starting line-up against Madagascar.
With little time to prepare for the World Cup, Ouahbi was keen to give his starting players on the night as many minutes as possible.
Mazraoui, who only made 20 appearances for United last season, doesn’t need a rest, so he could be afforded game time before competing in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He played 66 minutes before being substituted.
The former Bayern Munich and Ajax star finished the game with a 92% pass success rate and was forced to make just one defensive contribution.
Morocco beat Madagascar 4-0 on the night, but the game was more physical than the World Cup finalists would have liked, as both teams committed 12 fouls each.
The United right-back impressed by creating three chances for his teammates, as well as completing more dribbles (3) than any other player on the pitch.

When does the World Cup kick-off for Noussair Mazraoui?
Morocco will play one more friendly match before the World Cup kicks off.
That will be against Norway on Sunday night.
However, Mazraoui’s nation will have an extremely difficult start to the World Cup when they face Brazil in their first game on Saturday, 13 June.
Morocco are also drawn against Haiti and Scotland in Group C.
