The crown jewel at Manchester United right now is Kobbie Mainoo with the Carrington graduate being priceless in the eyes of many.

After a breakout campaign, in which Kobbie Mainoo has established himself for both Manchester United and also England, the 18-year-old talent is absolutely priceless. Being an academy graduate as well, there would be riots if there was ever talk of selling Mainoo who looks like he has everything to become a great.

In just 12 months his market value according to the website has risen from €800k (£681k), a pretty drastic increase which reflects how quickly he became a starter and a star for Erik ten Hag. While a strong Euros this summer, along with a continued rise in the Golden Boy rankings could easily see him begin the 2024/25 season valued even higher.

Even though he’s only been a first-team player really for seven or eight months, already Kobbie Mainoo has established himself as England’s premier teenage talent right now.

But this isn’t all, and he is right up there with the best in the past 20 years for the nation and he could yet move even higher in the list.

From this list, Mainoo clearly has some way to go – however having turned 19 less than two months ago, he has plenty of time to catch up with United teammate, Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham who lead the way. Although Mainoo is firmly ahead of United legend and record goalscorer Wayne Rooney.

Mainoo already being fourth based on such a limited time period says an abundance about just how special of a talent he actually is for United and we fully expect that by the time he turns 20, he’ll be worth over £100m.

While the figure is high compared with others around him such as Rashford and Foden, £43m is a figure that United would likely laugh out of the room if it was submitted as a bid for Mainoo.

In reality, if hypothetically United were handed an open chequebook to demand whatever they wanted for Mainoo, there is a good chance that the Red Devils still refuse to respond, although if they did there’s no way it wouldn’t be a fee which breaks records.

An academy graduate, along with being a local lad, he is the face of the club and represents everything that many of us love about the club.

So with that being said, we reaffirm, that Mainoo is priceless, but it is interesting to see that he rightfully ranks among the top young players in recent English history.
