Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was in action for Brazil as they finished their international break with a victory over Croatia.
At the start of the March international break, Casemiro was unhappy with Brazil’s display against France where they were beaten 2-1.
But Brazil bounced back with a 3-1 win over Croatia in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and Brazilian media praised Casemiro for his performance.
The 34-year-old played 61 minutes of the clash, where he was up against former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric in midfield.

Against Croatia, Casemiro started in a No.6 position, playing centrally in a midfield three.
Interestingly, Manchester United teammate Matheus Cunha was handed a midfield role, playing just to the left of Casemiro in the heart of Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
Casemiro earned a 7.1 rating for his performance via SofaScore – a figure only beaten by two outfield Brazil stars.

His strong positioning in midfield allowed those around him to roam and venture forward, while he provided a solid foundation to protect the back four.

Casemiro sends ‘great’ message after Brazil win
It has already been confirmed that Casemiro will leave United this summer when his contract expires.
The 34-year-old said this week that he hopes to avoid crying in his final Old Trafford outing. His final season with the Red Devils has been one of his best.
After Brazil’s win over Croatia, Casemiro took to Instagram to celebrate the result and send a message to his supporters.
“Great performance in one of the last games before the World Cup. Thanks to all the fans who supported us in the United States. Let’s go Brazil,” Casemiro wrote.
Casemiro has seven games remaining in his final campaign with United before his attention switches to what will be his final World Cup campaign with Brazil.
