Highly rated Lyon youngster Mohamed EL Arouch has been pictured in a Manchester United jersey.

The 19-year-old is currently playing his stuff at Lyon but has only made one appearance for the first team – which has led to reports from L’Equipe that he wants to leave the club.

But Lyon will be desperate to keep him in their ranks. He is widely regarded as one of the emerging talents at the club and will likely be playing regular first-team football soon.

But does he have his heart set on a move elsewhere? Well, a picture online indicates he’s a major fan of a certain Manchester club…

Sporting a rather questionable new trim, here’s the picture of Mohamed El Arouch in a Manchester United jersey.

He’s evidently a fan of the club, which does make you wonder if he ever made it big whether he’d have his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.

It is still very early days in his career, however, having only featured predominantly for Lyon’s second team. Although – he has been making big waves at such a young age.

Lyon are notorious for producing some top-tier talent through their youth ranks – so could Mohamed El Arouch follow suit?

He extended his contract with Lyon last year until 2025, but there have been reports he wants out of the club already.

Lyon’s sporting director Bruno Cheyrou had the following to say about the talented midfielder:

“The run in the Gambardella has highlighted his qualities. He was one of the best players in the competition but we had already targeted him as one for the future within the academy.

“He lives and breathes football and he is one of the kind of players that one pays to go and watch play. He has great technical quality and a high work rate.

“He knows how to combine this work rate with an ability to be decisive, which is appreciable. A lot of things will depend on him, but we are committed to him for the long term, and we hope to allow him to find playing time with the first team.

“He is coming out of his  adolescence and he must now move on to adulthood by progressing even more in terms of his play and his intensity.”
