Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has explained the transformation that he has witnessed from on-loan Manchester United star Marcus Rashford at the Camp Nou.
Marcus Rashford left Manchester United for Barcelona last summer after the 28-year-old England international fell out of favour with Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
The United forward’s return to Old Trafford at the end of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign had been short-lived after his loan deal with Aston Villa expired.
Barcelona handed Rashford another lifeline to kick-start his career away from the Red Devils after Aston Villa did not trigger their £40m option-to-buy clause in 2025.

Marcus Rashford has been able to secure regular first-team football away from Old Trafford after becoming a key player for Barcelona manager Hansi Flick this season.
The Manchester United talent has made 36 appearances across all competitions and Rashford has netted 10 times and registered 13 assists for Barcelona so far.
Rashford’s loan deal with Barcelona is for the entirety of the 2025-26 campaign, with the La Liga outfit covering the England star’s hefty Man Utd wages as well.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Robert Lewandowski suggested that Rashford’s “huge potential” was showing at Barcelona after finding confidence at the Camp Nou.
“After a few training sessions, no,” he said.
“He has huge potential. He has everything. He has speed, he has technique, he has a shot, he has [a] left foot, right foot, skills…
“But Marcus is the guy, if you give him confidence and he sees that you believe in him, he can give you back 200 per cent.”

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski explains what he has noticed about Man Utd ace Marcus Rashford in the dressing room
Lewandowski talked up the importance of the atmosphere in the Barcelona dressing room and the knock-on effect that it has had on former Aston Villa star Rashford.
“He’s a very nice guy,” he added.
“We spoke because we are sitting in the dressing room beside [each other]. We also play ping-pong.
“I see that this guy is [a] very kind, very nice guy, but also because of this, he needs someone standing behind him.”
Lewandowski insisted that teammate Rashford could complete his transformation as a player if the Three Lions international is able to fully tap into his confidence.
“If he does have this confidence, he can really play his best football and on the best level,” he continued.
United and Barcelona’s loan deal for Rashford, which was agreed last July, includes an option-to-buy clause in 2026 and the overall transfer fee is set at £30.3m.
