Manchester United defeated Everton on Saturday afternoon in a performance which left much to be desired, despite a 2-0 win.
Erik ten Hag watched his side bounce back from two consecutive defeats, with a victory against Everton on Saturday.
A 2-0 win at Old Trafford sees the Champions League dream remain alive, albeit the chances are slim.
Despite the win, Manchester United failed to inspire much confidence in their ability going forward as they allowed Everton to effectively dominate proceedings as only two penalties won the points.
Now, in the aftermath of the result for United, club legend Paul Scholes has sent a message about the game.

Paul Scholes sends scathing review of Manchester United display
Taking to Instagram after the game, Scholes posted on his story with a revelation over the display he’d just watched.
“Have you ever seen a team give the ball away as much in your life”, he followed this up with two angry-faced emojis.
This is the latest Instagram rant from Scholes after a game as the iconic United midfielder remains discontent with what he’s seen from Ten Hag’s side.
Scholes is completely right too, as United gained zero momentum in the game with passing awful and disconnected, all of this made for a woeful game from both angles.
Erik ten Hag cannot be pleased with his sides performance
Despite the win, Ten Hag cannot be pleased with how his side played once again, despite it clearly being to his instruction.
The inability to string three or four progressive passes together is concerning, with Raphael Varane and Casemiro being the main culprits.
United completed just 82 per cent of their passes, with Casemiro having a 76 per cent completion rate which is atrocious for a player who should be tasked with being reliable in possession.
Yet another performance which will do nothing to convince Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe that Ten Hag is the right man to lead the new era for United.
