Rarely a day goes by where the media aren’t trying to turn Paul Pogba against Manchester United. How satisfying would it be if he can stay and shut everybody up?
The midfielder inspired a turnaround in United’s last game against Newcastle, showing just how good he can be.
He is currently on international duty with France, where he admitted he is still coming to terms with their World Cup success.
Pogba wants more. He wants to win at club level too. Crucially it appears he still wants to do so at Old Trafford.

Has Pogba just hinted he wants to stay at United?

Pogba’s latest comments should drive a stake through the hearts of the tabloid press.
The Frenchman says his ambition is to win the Premier League, scotching rumours he wants to join Barcelona.
Quoted by Sport24, Pogba said: “We like challenges too, we have goals. For example, I’ve never won the Premier League, that’s an objective. I’d like to do that.”

Pogba can’t win the Premier League if he joins Barcelona, and while a La Liga title will be desirable too, walking away would mean he would quit without achieving his goal at United.

The midfielder came back to United in 2016 after leaving as a youngster. It was a case of ‘unfinished business’. It’s still not finished.
We have some catching up to do to win the league this season. What a story it would be if we could turn it around.
Even beyond this year, determination to win the title next year could be enough to keep him around next summer.
