Harry Maguire following Marcus Rashford lead

Harry Maguire is working intensely and has been seeking the guidance of 2004 Porto Champions League winner Ricardo Carvalho, a former teammate of Benni McCarthy.

Romano reports: “Here’s Harry Maguire training three times a day in Portugal… for almost three weeks now. He’s spending time with training one on one with ex Portuguese legend defender Ricardo Carvalho.”

Harry Maguire did not play frequently last season, starting only eight Premier League games, so he’s certainly fresh enough to be doing extra training.

His commitment and desire to improve himself and his situation has to be admired.

Maguire is following Marcus Rashford‘s lead, who trained tirelessly ahead of last season and went on to enjoy his best ever campaign, bouncing back from his worst one.

Harry Maguire future uncertain

Harry Maguire’s future at Manchester United is unclear. The club won’t push him out, but they will listen to offers.

Romano reports, “Harry still wants to fight for his place at Man United and not give up, waiting to speak with Erik ten Hag about his future.”

If he is sold, Manchester United are open to exploring a deal for Monaco defender Axel Disasi, with Romano reporting Ten Hag has approved a move.

In the even Maguire does stay, United should see an improved defender next season. He’s certainly doing everything he can to raise his game.
