While not being at the World Cup with England this summer, Harry Maguire has instead launched his career in media, providing insights on teammates and rivals.
Harry Maguire has now become a regular alongside Gary Lineker on The Rest is Football, covering the World Cup this summer on Netflix.
Maguire has hailed Matheus Cunha on the show, explaining how good the Brazilian really is both on and off the pitch.
Additionally, Maguire has tipped Kobbie Mainoo to shine if he gets the chance this summer for England.
Now, it is former United man Scott McTominay subject to praise from Maguire.

Would you re-sign Scott McTominay for Manchester United?
Where would he fit in? How much is he worth?
Harry Maguire says Scott McTominay was misused by Manchester United
Speaking on the show about Scotland’s defeat to Morocco, Maguire had lots of praise for McTominay.
“I really got on with Scott. He’s a great person to have around the dressing room. He’s a big character, a great leader. If you train with Scotty, everyone knows the ability he has. In five-a-side, he’s always up there with the top scorers.
“At Man Utd, he played a bit deeper. To be a number 10 at United, you have to be the superstar, and I think Scotty is a much better player further up the pitch than he is as a number six, and he played number six at United a lot.
“You need him around the box; he’s so clinical. If Scotland were going to score, it was going to come from Scott. He has great runs, great timing, and his finishing is at a real high level. He’s a top player.”
Then Maguire admitted he was certain that McTominay would be a success in Naples.
“When he went there, I knew he’d do well, and the rest of the team knew he’d do well, but it’s hard when we have Bruno there in the number 10 position, and it’s hard to move him out of the team.”

Erik ten Hag was the only United manager to profile McTominay correctly
While Maguire is spot on with his assessment that McTominay is much better further up the pitch, this was something Erik ten Hag noticed.
In McTominay’s final season at United, he was profiled as an attacking option to aid the toothless attack of Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony.
He scored seven Premier League goals in 32 games (18 starts), often coming into the game to cause chaos in the opponents’ box, showcasing his elite finishing.
Ten Hag unleashed this version of McTominay, and the Scottish midfielder hasn’t looked back.
It is a shame he didn’t continue at United, because there wouldn’t be a better option from the bench when chasing a game, and he would replace Casemiro’s goalscoring.
