Harry Maguire has provided an injury update after the defender suffered a scare just two minutes into the win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The Manchester United defender was superb against Marco Silva’s side but a concussion scare meant the Englishman had to stop twice and seemed to be struggling.
There were some calls from the TNT Sport commentary team to replace the Englishman as carrying on after a concussion is considered dangerous for the player’s safety.
However, the Manchester United defender has provided an injury update and it looks to be good news for Erik ten Hag.

Maguire’s update
Speaking to MUTV after the win over the Cottagers, the defender has given an update on his fitness and whether he did suffer a concussion.
“Obviously I got a knock really early in the game but the doc did all the tests, I knew where I was, was answering all the questions and I completed them thankfully,” Maguire said. “If the doc says I’m okay to carry on, I’m always going to carry on.
“So, no, it felt good to be able to get through the game, help the lads to a clean sheet and more importantly three points.”
The defender did look a bit sheepish in the first half as he seemed to still be feeling the effects of the collision.
Maguire’s role in the team
Nevertheless, despite the injury he suffered, the defender was superb and was constantly putting out fires when the home side were creating chance after chance.
Maguire and his teammates got through the assault and kept another clean sheet and the Red Devils have eased the pressure on Ten Hag.
The former Leicester City defender, who was described as majestic by Peter Schmeichel, demonstrated the calmness on the ball and dominance in the air that United needed and he is now one of the first names on the teamsheet for the former Ajax boss.
