Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is celebrating after his former club Sheffield United won promotion to the Premier League.
Harry Maguire was part of Sheffield United’s FA Youth Cup side which lost to Manchester United in the final in 2011.
He left the club in 2014 for Hull City, and after a spell at Leicester, became the world’s most expensive defender when he signed for Manchester United for £80 million in 2019.
It hasn’t been smooth sailing for Maguire at Old Trafford, and his career appears to be coming to a crossroads this summer. Could a return to Sheffield United be out of the question?

Sheffield United clinched promotion to the Premier League after a 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion last night, following Burnley, who were also relegated last season.
Harry Maguire still retains an affinity for his former club. He was quick to respond to their celebratory post on Instagram.
So does this mean Maguire is heading back to the Blades, of course not. But it might end up crossing his mind this summer.
Maguire is fourth choice at United, and this may end up being fifth choice, if he gets overlooked for Luke Shaw tonight.
If he wants to retain his place for England, he needs to do two things, play regularly, and enjoy his football. He could do both at Bramall Lane.
He might get the offer from the likes of Newcastle, Tottenham, or West Ham, but if Sheffield United can get a bid together at the right price for Manchester United, who knows, they may have a go at convincing Maguire to return.
