Manchester United just about did enough to secure all three points in a 2-1 away win over Sheffield United.
Away wins are hard to come by for Manchester United, so we won’t complain too much at the lack of style in doing so last night.
While Erik ten Hag‘s side did deserve the win, this wasn’t the dominant performance to blow the Blades away that we hoped for.
You couldn’t fault the effort from the players on the pitch. There was just something lacking, until Diogo Dalot‘s late winner.

Manchester United earn late win
Shortly before Dalot curled in a shot from the edge of the box, Sofyan Amrabat nearly struck his own long range winner.
The Moroccan was denied his first Manchester United goal when his shot rebounded off the post.
That would have capped a great display from the midfielder, who is settling into life as a Manchester United player.
Amrabat won nine out of nine duels he contested, giving everything he could for the cause. It was the type of fight the team needed in the middle of the park.
Manchester United players praise Amrabat
Amrabat’s efforts were appreciated by supporters, and crucially by his Manchester United teammates too.
Hannibal Mejbri left a message on his Instagram page which read, ‘wow’ in response to his performance.
Match winner Diogo Dalot share the praise, with a simple message which read ‘beast’, commending his dominant display.
There’s a lot more to come from Amrabat, who ensured United did not miss Casemiro, as fans predicted.
