Kobbie Mainoo continued to impress as he dominated midfield against a strong, full-strength Arsenal midfield.
Manchester United‘s talented midfield starlet Mainoo was the most impressive player on the pitch against the Gunners.
Dominating play both on and off the ball he was a real force for United and he also played his opposite number, Arsenal’s £105million man off the field.
Mainoo throughout pre-season has show himself to be completely ready to take the mantle of being a starter for Manchester United.
With many tipping him to have a huge season as he clearly is beginning to force himself into Erik ten Hag‘s plans.
Bruno lauds Mainoo with praise
Speaking post game, Bruno Fernandes heaped praise onto his 18-year-old teammate.
He told MUTV: “Honestly, Kobbie is a great player, he shows great resilience. Everyone can see it [his talent].
“He’s good on the ball, strong, he can defend and attack. He’s still pretty young but we see a bright future for him. Hopefully he will get more minutes.”

Bruno speaking so positively about Mainoo should be a huge moment for the talented teen who will no doubt be seeking his skipper’s approval.
What next for the starlet
Next up for Manchester United is Wrexham on Wednesday followed by Real Madrid on Thursday.
Given Mainoo is part of the senior tour squad he will probably get his next chance to impress against Madrid.
He could face the task of controlling their new £100m man in Jude Bellingham which could be a great test for Mainoo.
Regardless of the remainder of preseason, Mainoo has proven himself a star already.
