Pogba, Mourinho, Zidane, Sanchez….zzzzzz.

The tabloids are having a field day with United’s problems and are creating rampant speculation over the future of just about everybody associated with the club. Can we change that?

Of course the criticism is deserved, with United off the pace and already looking out of the title race at this early stage of the season.

The next two games present the Red Devils with a great opportunity to reset the narrative heading into the next international break.

United can start afresh…again

United have two home games, tonight against Valencia in the Champions League, and then in the Premier League against a struggling Newcastle team.

A win against Valencia would put us in a commanding position in the Champions League with two wins from two matches.

After that, a 14 day break until a tough looking trip to in form Chelsea.

We need two big results against Valencia and Newcastle to lift the gloom, and put a puncture in the hot air balloon of speculation threatening to engulf Old Trafford and the club’s key protagonists.

The two home games could not come at a better time.

Two big attacking performances will change the agenda, and spare everybody at United an even more miserable international break.

It won’t be enough to cover up the poor start to the season, but it would bring the smiles back, give some perspective and rebuild confidence.

United are a big team, full of big players. They need to play like it, starting tonight.
