Ahead of Brighton & Hove Albion’s trip to Old Trafford, Graham Potter has raved about Manchester United’s “fantastic” new manager Erik ten Hag.
The Seagulls travel to the Theatre of Dreams for both sides Premier League opener which kicks off at 2pm today.
Potter’s side hammered Manchester United 4-0 in May, in what was Ralf Rangnick’s penultimate game in interim charge of the Red Devils.
United produced a woeful lifeless performance which indicated they couldn’t wait to get a miserable season over and done with, and begin preparing for life under the former Ajax manager.

Potter isn’t expecting United to be as poor as they were at the Amex Stadium three months ago with the two-time Eredivisie winner now at the helm.
The former Swansea City manager spoke in glowing terms about the Dutchman in his pre-match press conference.
“He’s [ten Hag] a fantastic coach with a great experience from his time at Ajax, he did a really good job and I really enjoyed watching his team,” Potter said.
“I am sure he’s ready for the next step and will be looking forward to the game.
“There will be a positive atmosphere at Old Trafford so we’ll have to deal with that and have to be ready to face that challenge.”
With former Ajax man Joel Veltman, who played under Ten Hag during their time together in Amsterdam, in Brighton’s ranks, Potter may have tapped into the Netherlands international’s insight, experience and knowledge of what to expect from his former boss, ahead of today’s clash.
The versatile defender is one of three former players Ten Hag could come up against in the Premier League this season.
