Manchester United players were back in training on Sunday to prepare for the home Champions League fixture against Galatasaray.
There were a number of young players involved in the session too, with Erik ten Hag adding some youth into the mix.
While some of these, Ethan Williams and Willy Kambwala, had been involved with the first team previously, this was the first time James Scanlon had been called up.
Scanlon is an exciting prospect who is making good progress since joining from Derby County in 2021.

James Scanlon trains with Manchester United first team
James Scanlon, 17, has been a regular for Manchester United’s under-18s side over the past year.
The central midfielder has made six appearances in all competitions for United’s academy sides this season, including featuring in the EFL Trophy, and featuring in two under-21 league games.
Scanlon has scored once for the under-18s this season so far, and his call-up to train with the first team further underlines that the club have high hopes for him.
While eligible to play for England, Scanlon has currently chosen to represent Gibralatar at international level, where he has scored three goals in four games for their under-17 side, plus a further two assists.
Antony also back in training
First team winger Antony was also involved in the session at Carrington, rejoining his teammates for the first time since the international break.
United issued a club statement on the Brazilian’s situation last week, confirming he will be eligible for selection this coming week.
