Manchester United were one of the victims of Tottenham Hotspur’s fine form early on in the season.
Despite Ange Postecoglou’s squad dropping off in November, Tottenham have established themselves as one of the teams to beat in the Premier League this season.
The manager and the coaching staff seem to have the Spurs players in good nick. They have some seriously impressive names in Heung Min-Son, Cristian Romero and James Maddison.
One underrated star for them is taking the Premier League by storm. Gary Neville also appears to be a big fan of him – even making a flattering comparison to a Manchester United legend.
Gary Neville on Destiny Udogie
Tottenham Hotspur took on Newcastle United in the Premier League this weekend – with Italian full-back Destiny Udogie having a blinder for Spurs.
He was ace in the first half, which led to a complimentary comparison from Gary Neville. Speaking on Sky Sports commentary, Neville said:
“He’s really good at beating a man on the inside [Destiny] Udogie. He really reminds me of how Patrice Evra used to do it at left-back for Manchester United.”
This was before the 21-year-old scored the first goal of the game, with Son setting him up to put the home side one goal to the good.
“He’s deserved it,” said Neville. “Udogie has been fantastic in this first 25 minutes.”

Erik ten Hag could do with a full-back like Udogie or Evra this season.
Particularly in Luke Shaw‘s absence, United didn’t look dangerous whatsoever on the left flank, with Marcus Rashford failing to replicate last season’s form and a make-shift left-back always featuring.
Since Shaw has returned and Alejandro Garnacho has locked down the left – things have got a little better, but Tottenham’s left flank is absolutely dynamite.
They’re lucky to have the young full-back and he will no doubt go on to have an excellent career at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
