Lisandro Martinez helped Manchester United to an eighth clean sheet of the season in a hard fought victory at home to West Ham.
The Argentine centre-back led by example as United continued a mean defensive streak to record a crucial victory to overtake Chelsea in the Premier League table.
Marcus Rashford scored the winner after a Christian Eriksen assist, and Sky Sports commentator Gary Neville gave his man of the match award to the goalscorer.
But he also reserved special praise for summer signing Lisandro Martinez, suggesting he was actually the best player on display.

Gary Neville praises Lisandro Martinez
Speaking to Sky Sports’ live coverage of the game, Neville spoke glowingly about the summer signing from Ajax.
He said: “He’s been Manchester United’s best player by a mile Lisandro Martinez, absolutely brilliant.
“He has been absolutely fantastic for large parts of that game.”
Martinez has already managed to surpass the high expectations Manchester United fans had for him when he signed, and looks more and more settled each week.
The defender’s terrific performance came alongside Harry Maguire, with Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof both unavailable.
This was the fourth game Martinez and Maguire have started together, and the first win. This will do wonders for Maguire’s confidence too.
He is playing alongside a defender in Martinez who is performing at a very high level right now. His display against West Ham was one of his best yet.
Martinez blocked four shots, made three headed clearances and made one interception.
