Gary Neville has praised one Manchester United player despite the Red Devils suffering a 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
The pressure is growing on Erik ten Hag as the Dutchman has now overseen 14 defeats for Manchester United this season and this latest one is a bad one.
Nuno Espirito Santo was appointed manager at the City Ground following the sacking of Steve Cooper and the Portuguese manager masterminded another win over the Red Devils.
During Nuno’s time at Wolverhampton Wanderers, he usually had the beating of the Red Devils and at a different club, this hasn’t changed. For United, however, this was a bad loss to take.

Neville names one impressive player
Well, the defeat was a poor one to take, particularly in the manner in which Forest scored their winning goal with the Red Devils being on the attack before conceding from a counterattack.
Former United right-back Gary Neville has attempted to be positive despite the defeat to the East Midlands side and has named one player who impressed him despite the defeat.
“I can’t sit here and say ‘United should have kept Elanga, he’s better than all the ones they’ve got.’ But it does make you think that on days like today when you see the performance of levels of United wide players,” Neville said on the Sky Sports Podcast.
“Garnacho aside, I think he’s got something, he’s got an appetite and real courage to play. I have to say the rest of them, to be fair, I mean… we’ve said enough haven’t we? It’s everything. Body language, their running back, their ability to combine with each other, the skill.”
Garnacho’s performances
Despite the Argentine setting up Marcus Rashford for the equaliser, it was a tough first half for the winger who was shifted back to the left due to Rasmus Hojlund’s absence.
Off the left, the winger just does not look as dangerous as he usually does off the right and starting the Argentine on the opposite side he is used to has to be how Ten Hag moves forward.
Alejandro Garnacho on the right, Rashford on the left with Hojlund up front will cause teams problems, as they showed during the victory over Aston Villa. Ten Hag simply has to stick with this forward line to try and address the lack of goalscoring firepower.
