A whipped cross from Diogo Dalot was inches away from connecting with the boot of the Dane but it went across the box.
The movement of the 20-year-old forward would potentially be something United fans have to get used to with Anthony Martial never really making the runs of a forward that is required.
Lineker’s changing opinion of Hojlund
After a promising start to his career at Old Trafford, it seems pundit’s opinions of the £64 million man has indeed changed after a promising start which included a goal at the Allianz Arena.
Gary Lineker spoke on Match Of The Day recently and said: “I’ve watched him in the first two or three games that he’s played. He’s only scored one goal so far – and that was in Europe – but he looks to me like he will score goals. I like his movement.”
To receive such high praise from a former Barcelona striker is indeed a huge positive for Hojlund, and shows he is winning analysts over.
Hojlund proving people wrong
Lineker’s opinion hasn’t always been in favour of the young forward.
“Perhaps they see him more as one for the long term, but I’m not convinced he’s going to make the difference for them,” Lineker told The Sun when the deal was confirmed.
It seems Lineker’s changing opinion is part of a wider acceptance that indeed the 20-year-old forward is seemingly the real deal and has settled well at Old Trafford.
Hojlund hasn’t proved himself fully yet but has certainly made a promising start to his career at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag deserves praise for believing in the young forward and the signs are certainly good so far for the young Dane.
