Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is worried about the impact Marcus Rashford could have in tonight’s Champions League match.

Marcus Rashford might be out of form, but that doesn’t mean opposing teams can take their eyes off him.

Rashford is still an important part of Manchester United’s gameplan, and Galatasaray are trying to work out a way to stop him.

He has been singled out by Galatasaray’s manager ahead of tonight’s Champions Leagues group stage clash.

Buruk singles out Rashford threat

Speaking at his press conference, reported by United club media, Okan Buruk says he has tasked right-back Sacha Boey with trying to shut Rashford down, and also to cause problems in attack.

Buruk said: “Manchester [United] has Rashford in transitions and all game actions. They are trying to find Rashford a lot, one-on-one during the game.

“This will be an important match for Sacha [Boey] as well. We expect contribution from Sacha, not only defensively but also offensively.

“We will want Sacha to play offensively as he did in previous matches. This will be an offensive and defensive test for both Galatasaray and Sacha.”

Buruk unsure over United defence

The Galatasaray boss says he has spent time analysing Manchester United, and feels the left-back position is one his team can exploit, however, he also admits he does not know what the Red Devils will do at the position.

Buruk said: “We have our thoughts based on the pros and cons of the opponent. Our opponent does not have an original left-back. We do not know what they will use there.

“It is our own game. We made a plan based on our team and our players. We will try to implement it on the field.”

United have started Sofyan Amrabat there the last two games, amid injuries to Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and Sergio Reguilon.

Other options include using Victor Lindelof, or Jonny Evans, who previously shut down Wilfried Zaha playing at the position when at West Brom.

Diogo Dalot could play at left-back, however, United would then encounter the same problem on the right, and could simply see Zaha switch sides.
