French media react to Aurelien Tchouameni’s performance

Kylian Mbappe once again stole the headlines for France by scoring twice in their win over Sweden.

But France dominated the midfield battle thanks to Tchouameni, and the national press pointed out his impressive display.

MaxiFoot gave Tchouameni a 7/10 rating and wrote: “A solid performance from the French midfielder. Present in the center of the pitch, he held his own in winning back possession, dominating several duels.

“As usual, the Real Madrid player displayed excellent technical ability, creating space to attack. We liked his interception that led to Barcola’s goal.”

FootMercato gave Tchouameni a 5.5 and wrote: “Positioned deeper than Rabiot, he was less prominent than his midfield partner.

“This positioning may have seemed surprising in the first half given France’s complete dominance. After the break, his forward run led to the second goal.”
