Fred provides assist and creates three chances in 5-1 win for Brazil
Fred’s involvement for Brazil in this international break got off to the best possible start this week.
The Manchester United midfielder took just seven minutes to provide an assist for Brazil’s opening goal against South Korea.
Fred’s pass set up Everton’s Richarlison for the opener, and Brazil went on to win 5-1.
Neymar added a brace via two penalties, with Philippe Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus rounding off the scoring, after Hwang had equalised in the first half for South Korea.

A 5-1 win for Brazil gave Fred plenty to smile about, and this was evident in pictures, where he had a huge grin on his face.
Fred wrote in a message on Instagram: “Great performance and victory of our team. We remain focused on the big goal. Thank you for everything, my God!”
Fred was one of the highest rated players on the pitch for his performance. Fotmob gave him a 8.4 rating, matched only by Sandro, and bettered only by Neymar (9.4).
The Manchester United midfielder played 81 minutes, and created three goalscoring chances. This was only second to Neymar.
Fred also completed 91 per cent of his passes, winning four of five duels contested, and made seven ball recoveries in a strong all round performance.
His place as a starter in the Brazil squad is looking strong ahead of the World Cup. United teammate Alex Telles was an unused substitute.
Fred is one of three players in contention for Manchester United’s player of the year award, the club have confirmed.
He joins goalkeeper David de Gea and top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo with the three highest number of votes.
Fred scored his highest tally of goals for United this past season (4), and also achieved his best assist tally too (5).
