Manchester United are having a bit of a topsy-turvy season and there are definitely some individuals who need to be doing more.
United currently sit 10th in the Premier League. Erik ten Hag‘s men have the same amount of wins and losses at four with no draws.
Their European campaign has also been shocking. Two games, and two losses in the Champions League.
Things need to change and fast. This can be accomplished with certain players stepping up. So, with this – here are four players Manchester United definitely need more from this season.
Casemiro
It feels strange putting our top scorer on here, but anyone watching United this season knows Casemiro isn’t playing to his full capacity.
The Brazilian has undoubtedly lost a yard or two of pace and he’s often been caught out in fixtures. Saying this, we know he’s so good that he’s definitely able to give more.
The 31-year-old was arguably United’s best player last season, we desperately need him to get back to what he once was.
Andre Onana
The only new signing to feature on our list, it’s Andre Onana.
The Cameroon shot-stopper has had it really tough since his arrival. He’s made quite a few really bad mistakes already and was always going to be heavily scrutinised due to the means of the David de Gea departure.
But judging off his Inter form, we know how good he can be. We’d like to see a bit more from him in regard to his passing abilities. He’s looked more competent than Dave in this area, but he isn’t blowing us away.
Alejandro Garnacho
This may seem a little harsh, but Alejandro Garnacho has not shown us the immense talent that we know he possesses.
The only game we can think of where we saw the magic was Arsenal, with his goal disallowed. However, a lot of this is down to Ten Hag not including him in the starting XI as well.
Garnacho is the future of United’s attack and we know from countless joyous moments last season how beneficial he can be to the side.
He needs to show more when he’s given the chance. He’s looked too cautious this season. Go out and excite the crowd, Alejandro.
Marcus Rashford
Our top-scorer last season has by no way been himself this season.
Rashford looks completely flat. He’s struggling to get in good positions, having difficulty hitting the target and is all around just not having positive impacts on games.
He was electric last season. He frightened virtually every defender he came up against. We don’t need more from Rashford, we DEMAND more – as we know he has ridiculous ability in abundance.
