Almost six years on from his Manchester United departure, Ethan Hamilton is picking up individual awards at Dundee FC.

Ethan Hamilton joined Manchester United’s academy in 2015, but never made a senior appearance.

Hamilton was sent on loan three times from United – to Rochdale, Southend United and Bolton Wanderers.

Since his permanent exit from United in 2020, Hamilton has played for Peterborough United, Accrington Stanley, and Lincoln City. He signed for Scottish Premiership outfit Dundee last summer.

Ethan Hamilton voted Dundee Player of the Year

Hamilton has settled at Dundee like a fish in water.

The 27-year-old midfielder performed consistently throughout his debut campaign at Dundee.

With his influence already felt at Dundee, Hamilton has also taken the captain’s armband when Simon Murray isn’t on the pitch.

As a result, Hamilton has been chosen by fans for the Andrew De Vries Trophy, which goes to Dundee’s Player of the Year, as per The Courier.

Hamilton is under contract at Dundee until May 2028.

Ethan Hamilton isn’t afraid to get stuck in

A close look at Hamilton’s record this season shows he isn’t afraid to get stuck in and do the dirty work for Dundee.

From 34 appearances this season, Hamilton racked up nine yellow cards.

That’s not the strongest disciplinary record, but it shows what type of player Hamilton is.

Dundee will hope Hamilton can kick on and back up his performances next season.
