Manchester United may have to deal with yet another new rule in the Premier League very soon.
‘Sin Bins’ are seemingly coming to football, with The Telegraph reporting trials are set to be introduced as early as next year.
There is a strong possibility this will be in the Premier League, which would allow referees to send players off for 10-minute intervals.
So how do they work? And more importantly – which Red Devils stars are at risk?

What is the new ‘Sin Bin’ rule in the Premier League?
The new ‘Sin Bin’ rule is as follows, via CBS:
‘Applied solely as a punishment for dissent, a trip to the sin-bin means a player both receiving a yellow card and being removed from the field for 10 minutes.‘
The trials proved popular with coaches and referees and, according to the Football Association, brought about a total 38% reduction in dissent.
They are expected to be trialled as soon as next year. Here are the United players that are most at risk.
Bruno Fernandes
The captain was always going to be up here. Bruno Fernandes often doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut.
The Portuguese Magnifico has gained a reputation for his in-game interrogation of referees, and this rule will have him seriously worried. He’ll just have to bite his lip.
Casemiro
Casemiro is another man, and that is when he returns to the frame, who will be annoyed if the sin-bin rule comes to fruition.
The Brazilian is often found within touching distance of the ref after many incidents, either pressing for a decision for him or protesting for a decision that’s gone against. Usually the latter.
Alejandro Garnacho
Manchester United‘s wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho also isn’t safe. Despite his age, the youngster already has a reputation to get in and among the official’s decisions.
His attitude is a big part of this. But being just 19, he has time to iron this out.
Lisandro Martinez
From one Argentine to another – Lisandro Martinez certainly loves more than a whine to the referee.
We can see many scenarios where the Butcher will lose his temper and be banished to the sidelines. He’ll be itching for the entire 10 minutes to come back on.
Harry Maguire
Manchester United’s former captain also has a tendency to be a bit gobby.
Naturally, during his former role, he was often the candidate to liaise with referees about decisions. This hasn’t changed as his role has shifted, with the England international always one of the first over to get his point across.
