Facundo Pellistri's agent says he has offers from three different leagues for next season

Facundo Pellistri can thank his international call-up for Uruguay for opening new doors for the upcoming season.

Pellistri is yet to make his first team debut for Manchester United, and has spent his last 18 months out on loan at Alaves.

The Alaves spell turned into a nightmare, where Pellistri did not start a single game in 2022.

Pellistri, 20, seized his opportunity with Uruguay’s national team, and now clubs are queuing up to take him on loan next season.

Facundo Pellistri’s agent says he has offers

Facundo Pellistri’s agent says he has offers from clubs, but his client will go on pre-season tour with Manchester United first.

Agustin Alvarez told Grand Hotel Calciomercato: “He has a contract until 2026. He will make the pre-season retreat with Manchester and will take part in the tour in Asia.”

Alvarez says Pellistri has an opportunity to play in three different leagues next season, with interest building in his services.

He added: “He [Ten Hag] will decide, if he will stay or if he will be loaned out. In the latter case we have several possibilities between England, Italy and Portugal thanks also to the performance we had with the Uruguayan national team, where the coach [Diego] Alonso who gave him the confidence that Alaves lacked.”

Pellistri’s aim is to become a success at Manchester United, and if Erik ten Hag likes what he sees in pre-season, the young winger could be kept around.

He also has to balance this with a desire to be in top shape for when the World Cup comes around.

Pellistri is expected to be in Uruguay’s squad for the World Cup, his spell at Alaves has shown he does not have to be playing regularly to make it – but it is ideal if he is, and playing competitively.

A new opportunity in Italy or Portugal on loan would be fascinating, while a loan to another English club may better prepare Pellistri for Manchester United. One way or another, he will want to make his next loan move a success.
