Facundo Pellistri has been pictured back in Manchester United training at Carrington following his exploits at the World Cup with Uruguay.
The 20-year-old featured in all three of La Celeste’s World Cup matches in what was the former Penarol man’s first major international tournament.
Diego Alonso’s side looked set to join Portugal in the last-16 as Group H runners up, but the South Americans were knocked out following South Korea’s late winner against the Selecao.
United’s number 28 has returned to training alongside Christian Eriksen whose Denmark were also knocked out of the World Cup at the group stage.

Despite joining the twenty-time league champions over two years ago from Penarol, the ten-time Uruguay international is yet to make his debut for the Busby Babes.
Pellistri’s only competitive game time this season came in the EFL Trophy with a 66 minute outing against Barrow.
The pacey winger scored against Liverpool in Tour 22 but he suffered an ankle injury against Atletico Madrid which ruled him out of action and seemingly scuppered a loan move away from the Theatre of Dreams.
But having returned to Carrington, Pellistri will be hoping to make his eagerly awaited competitive bow for the Reds on eight days time when Erik ten Hag’s men take on Burnley in the Carabao Cup fourth-round.
With the likes of Marcus Rashford and Antony yet to return to Carrington after England and Brazil were knocked out of the quarter-finals, Pellistri will be hoping to feature against the Clarets.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Ten Hag start Anthony Elanga, Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Martial against Vincent Kompany’s side given the attacking trio started both of the winter friendlies against Cadiz and Real Betis.
But Pellistri will remain hopeful of possibly making his debut from the Red Devils.
The young Uruguayan was pictured at Carrington today alongside Garnacho, forward coach Benni McCarthy and former Reds striker Robin van Persie.
Van Persie is back at Carrington at the invitation of his compatriot Ten Hag.
