Manchester United sent Facundo Pellistri out on loan to Granada in the final week of the transfer window.
Uruguay international Facundo Pellistri swapped the Manchester United bench for the Granada starting line-up with his latest loan move.
La Liga holds no mystery for the winger, who spent two spells at Alaves in 2021 and 2022, before returning to United.
At the weekend he went straight into Granada’s XI, helping them to a 1-1 home draw against Las Palmas.

Facundo Pellistri’s debut lasted 63 minutes, with Granada having to fight hard for the point after being reduced to 10 men early.
Defender Kamil Piatkowski was sent off in the 21st minute. Granada took a 1-0 lead just before half-time, with Las Palmas netting an equaliser five minutes after Pellistri was taken off.
Manager Alex Medina praised Pellistri’s effort, telling AS: “Facundo had to wear himself out on the defensive side. But he was satisfied with what he did, like Martín [Hongla]. Kamil’s expulsion and admission were in circumstances that were not favorable for them and he has to adapt to the idea and the situation.”
No time for Pellistri to adapt
Granada are in the midst of a relegation battle, sitting in 19th place in La Liga with just two victories all season.
Medina is optimistic that Pellistri will be an asset, praising his determination to join the club.
He said: “We all made the necessary effort, the same player who showed a very important desire to come.
“That is very important to have determination to come, you have to go after the player. Facundo from the first moment I called him said I am going to Granada and it is very good that he is here.”
He did warn, in a general comment directed at all the team’s new additions, that there is going to be an instant adaptation period required.
He said: “Some will have a harder time than others getting in line with the team. We don’t have much time, we are working on the field, video and talks, to see what we want from the player in position and what it implies.”
