Manchester United talent Zidane Iqbal is set to leave the club to join FC Utrecht in a permanent deal worth around £860,000.
That is according to a report from The Athletic’s David Ornstein, one of the top sources in the country.
Ornstein claims that United have now accepted an offer from Utrecht, believed to be worth around €1million (£860,000).
United will hold a significant sell-on clause but the initial fee will seem very cheap for an exciting young player.
Iqbal is thought to have already completed his medical with Utrecht and a four-year deal is now waiting for him in the Netherlands.
Utrecht are looking towards the English market at the moment having already pounced for Watford talent Adrian Blake.
Iqbal now looks to be joining him in a move which may disappoint more than a few United supporters…

Zidane Iqbal needs first-team football
Iqbal was born in Manchester and came up through the United ranks having joined at the age of just nine.
There has been real hype around Iqbal for a while now, and he was handed a first-team debut against Young Boys in 2021.
The 20-year-old has picked up three Iraq caps too, showing his talent on the international stage whilst waiting for his United chance.
When United chose not to loan Iqbal out last summer, many thought that he would be given chances under Erik ten Hag.
That hasn’t happened though and Iqbal failed to make a single first-team appearance for United this past season.
Iqbal understandably wants to move on now and get proper minutes in men’s football under his belt.
Utrecht will give him that platform and whilst United fans may be disappointed, they will of course wish him all the best.
Who knows, maybe Iqbal can end up back at United one day if he shines in the Netherlands…
