The Bournemouth star has a reported £65m release clause in his current deal with the Cherries, which runs for only a brief period of time in January 2026.
Semenyo’s release clause will activate from 1st January and lasts until 10th, with Bournemouth now facing a real battle in trying to keep hold of the player.
The United-linked Semenyo has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea.

Manchester City have been tipped as the favourites to land Antoine Semenyo ahead of Manchester United once the 2026 January transfer window opens.
BBC Sport reported last week that City had held ‘advanced talks’ with the Cherries winger and think they are ‘well-placed’ to sign United target Semenyo.
Speaking on his podcast, Ben Foster was not sure if United would be able to sign Semenyo due to the powerful Premier League interest in the Ghana attacker.

“Semenyo, oh my God, he’s going to be, everybody’s going to want him,” he said on Fozcast.
“We were talking about him last week for Arsenal, weren’t we? Apparently, now Man City are the favourites to get him.
“But everybody could be sniffing [around for] him, really, couldn’t they? Everybody.”

According to another BBC Sport report on Sunday, Semenyo has entered into a ‘crucial 48 hours’ at Bournemouth ahead of the January transfer window opening.
It is believed that City are keen to ‘wrap up’ Semenyo’s move to the Etihad in a timely manner, despite United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea all being linked.
BBC Sport has claimed that Bournemouth want to keep hold of Semenyo for their first two Premier League clashes of 2026 before eventually selling him in January.
The Cherries will play against Arsenal and Tottenham at home ahead of Semenyo’s release clause expiring on 10th January.
