Erik ten Hag was informed of his fate on Monday morning with Manchester United deciding to part ways with the Dutch manager.

Ruben Amorim has ‘verbally agreed’ to take over United but Ten Hag’s two and a half years in charge at the club should not be forgotten with the former Ajax coach bringing a Carabao Cup and FA Cup trophies to Old Trafford.

United signed Mount under Ten Hag for £55 million and the Englishman said: “Thank you gaffer. Wish you all the best for the future.”
