Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has been speaking about the poor start to the season that the club have made.
Manchester United have won four and lost four in the Premier League and face the very real prospect of not making it out of the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.
Christian Eriksen has not really had a good start to the season but his substitute cameos recently have added a fresh impetus in United’s attack.
However, the start United have made has been an abysmal one and the Dane acknowledged that the club are in a ‘difficult situation’.

Eriksen on United’s poor start to the season
Speaking to Danish outlet TV2 Sport, Eriksen spoke about United’s woeful start to the season as they sit 10th in the Premier League.
“The period we have had now, of course, has not been nice,” the 31-year-old admitted.
“And with the club you play at [Manchester United], losing a game is really bad. But losing a few games – yes, it’s even worse.
“We haven’t played the way we would have liked, and we haven’t got the points we would have liked.”
The midfielder also recently spoke about his frustration at not starting games for the Red Devils, it all culminates in a frustrating time for him and United.
Eriksen’s limited role
The Danish midfielder was crucial for United last season before he suffered a serious injury against Reading, which forced the club to sign Marcel Sabitzer on loan from Bayern Munich.
With Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes, Sofyan Amrabat and Kobbie Mainoo as options, the Red Devils certainly have ample midfield options so the former Tottenham Hotspur man may well have to wait for his opportunities.
The midfielder, as mentioned, looks secure when he has come onto the pitch but the lack of mobility from Eriksen means he is seemingly now a substitute option in Erik ten hag’s side.
