Manchester United youngster Ethan Galbraith scored Salford City’s opener to help them to their first league home win since August.
Galbraith scored in the first half to open the scoring and set Salford City on their way to a 2-1 victory over Northampton.
Despite the lack of home victories, Salford are well placed in the League Two table, sitting in seventh place, with Galbraith featuring in five away wins.
The 21-year-old’s current manager at Salford is former Manchester United academy coach Neil Wood.
Galbraith is enjoying a strong season, he now has four goals and one assist in 14 league games for Salford.
The Northern Ireland international has netted two of these goals in his last three games.

Galbraith enjoying his best loan spell yet
He spent last season on loan for League One strugglers Doncaster, who ended up getting relegated, but he still managed to rack up 36 appearances, gaining vital experience.
This year he is playing for a more competitive team, and seems to be having a better time of it.
Making it as a Manchester United regular does look like an extreme long shot for Galbraith at this point. He is out of contract this coming summer, although United do have an option to extend by a further year.
It is expected that he will follow former under-21 teammates James Garner and Dylan Levitt out the door, but nothing can be totally ruled out just yet.
The better Galbraith plays now, the more opportunities he will create for himself, even if it is away from Manchester United.
