‘Erratic’ Man Utd star embarrassingly has fewer touches than Andre Onana vs Burnley

Manchester United took a step in the right direction last night, but one player is really struggling to find form this season.

It was a good performance from Erik ten Hag‘s side. A sensational Bruno Fernandes volley proved the difference at Turf Moor, but the most pleasing thing for United fans will be that there were some star performers.

Jonny Evans, Hannibal Mejbri, and Fernandes were all phenomenal. They really took the game by the scruff of the neck and got a well-fought win last night.

However – one player who’s still yet to find form this season once again struggled, which is surprising given his record last season.

Marcus Rashford is still struggling

Our top goalscorer last season is still yet to find much joy in this campaign. He looked a little lost last night.

The MEN wrote: “Erratic again and his decision-making was seldom sound. Switched to the right early in the second half but had little joy.”

A stark contrast to the Rashford of last season, who obtained 30 goals in the season. It just hasn’t happened for him yet, which is an issue due to the reliance on his goals last season.

Fewer touches than Onana…

A quite embarrassing statistic emerged after the game which showed Rashford actually had fewer touches than the Manchester United goalkeeper – Andre Onana.

Rashford had the ball 46 times against Vincent Kompany’s side, as opposed to Andre Onana’s 48. The keeper also made more passes, 25 vs. 24.

Doesnt exactly paint the Englishan in the best light, but at least it does for Onana. He was solid yesterday.

Let’s hope Rashford’s form takes a turn in the coming weeks.
