Erling Haaland has given his thumbs up verdict on one Manchester United star.
Erling Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm since he joined Manchester City in 2022 and is already closing in on 100 goals for the club.
Manchester United have often felt the brunt of Haaland’s cutting-edge in front of goal, with his latest goal coming in Sunday’s Manchester derby – even if he did miss an earlier sitter.
As one of, if not the, best striker in the world, Haaland knows a thing or two about what it takes to play up front and he has given his verdict on fellow Scandanavian Rasmus Hojlund.

Erling Haaland’s verdict on Rasmus Hojlund
Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday ahead of City vs FC Copenhagen, Haaland said: “I think his start was a bit hard.
“But then he came much better when we played against him I think he was really good. He is a good player.
“He is young, like me, I’m not the youngest any more but I’m still young but he has to keep on developing.
“And as a striker for Manchester United, I guess you have to score goals as well. That’s his job.”
Rasmus Hojlund continues to impress
All the pointless comparisons between Hojlud and Haaland just because they’re both from Nordic countries, have blond hair and have surnames beginning with H continue to be baffling.
But it is certainly nice for Hojlund to be given an endorsement from such a prolific striker.
Hojlund did have a difficult start to life at Old Trafford and went a while before scoring, but that was to be expected from a young player moving to a new country.
When the first one finally went in, the floodgates opened and Hojlund is now the club’s top scorer with 13 goals.
Hojlund had bagged six games in a row before his injury and now United need him back as soon as possible.
